I’m Igdaliah Pickering, a fashion designer whose work fuses Caribbean heritage, cultural storytelling, and modern craftsmanship. Growing up in the Virgin Islands shaped not only who I am but also how I see the world, vibrant, resilient, and deeply rooted in identity. That spirit lives in everything I create.
For several years, I worked as Lead Designer at Hanifa, where I brought collections to life, from red carpet gowns to debut bridal, and collaborated with top stylists on high-visibility projects. My time there sharpened my skills in construction, technical design, and creative direction, and fueled my passion for pushing fashion forward.
Today, I’m focused on building my namesake label, Igdalyah, while also taking on freelance projects that allow me to apply my expertise across design, development, and creative consulting. Right now, freelance work and new opportunities are my top priorities, and I’m open to remote or contract roles that align with my skills and experience.
Beyond design, I’m deeply passionate about giving back. I’m especially interested in partnering with nonprofits and schools to teach fashion and art to aspiring creatives, helping the next generation find their voice through design.
